Western Engineering Competition
Held annually in January, the Western Engineering Competition (WEC) provides an opportunity for undergraduate engineering students in Western Canada to develop their skills in fast-paced, hands-on engineering challenges, and qualify for the national Canadian Engineering Competition.
Since 1985, WEC has been the foremost regional challenge among the most engaged and adaptive minds the undergraduate engineering programs in Western Canada have to offer. It continues to create a friendly and competitive atmosphere that is conducive to networking with not only fellow competitors, but also industry professionals who help judge and sponsor the event.
The five-day event typically includes two days for arrivals and departures, a day of industry tours and networking, and two full days of competition.
